Be a part of the Diversity Inclusion Pledge
Glenn McIntosh, Vice President for Student Affairs and Chief Diversity Officer, invites campus community members to join an initiative of the Division of Student Affairs and Diversity in signing a Diversity Inclusion Pledge on Wednesday, Jan. 31.

An initiative by the Division of Student Affairs and Diversity is to offer all faculty, staff and students a chance to sign and pledge to do their part to make Oakland University a more inclusive environment and promise to stand up to bullying.

Once signed, the Diversity Inclusion Pledge banner will be hung in the Oakland Center throughout the semester. By signing the banner, campus community members can show their support of the initiative.

To kick off this initiative, the first pledge signing event will be held on Wednesday, January 31 at 11:30 a.m. in the Oakland Center Gold Rooms just prior to the Ask Ora! student event.

At that time, President Pescovitz, along with Oakland University’s cabinet members, will be signing the banner to show their support of the initiative.

Faculty, staff and students are also invited to stop by between 11:30 a.m. and noon to sign the pledge.

There will also be a chance to sign the pledge at the Taste of Africa event at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2 in the Oakland Center Banquet Rooms.

Other signing opportunities will be announced as dates and times are scheduled for other locations around campus.
