Oakland University and Advancing Macomb will hold a Mount Clemens Community Summit on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 at the Emerald Theatre in Mount Clemens. Mount Clemens residents, community organizations, business owners and their employees are encouraged to attend the Summit to provide input on what they see as crucial improvements needed for the future of Mount Clemens.

“We urge all those with ideas they see as essential for the growth and continued improvement of Mount Clemens to join us at our joint Summit. Their voices and input will be used to shape future projects for our community,” said Julie Dichtel, OU executive director of Macomb County Outreach.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for residents to come together, share their priorities for Mount Clemens and learn what is important to their neighbors. Attendees will participate in a live action survey and have a brainstorming discussion with fellow residents. Preliminary results will be shared at the end of the event,” said Melissa Roy, executive director of Advancing Macomb. She continued, “Our goal is a fun event that will yield valuable feedback from the city’s most important stakeholders – its residents.”

The Summit will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Emerald Theatre located at 31 North Walnut Street. Registration is required to attend. Register at www.advancingmacomb.com/summit or call Advancing Macomb at 586-651-0055. Parking is free. Light refreshments will be served.
