Debra Bernstein-Siegel
is an instructor on the faculty of the School of Music, Theatre and Dance at Oakland University teaching the History of Dance online.

She received a B.F.A. in Dance from The Ohio State University and an M.A. from The Ohio State University. She has performed works by Merce Cunningham, Norman Walker, Doris Humphrey, Maggie Patton and others.  She has been an educator, dance/movement therapist and choreographer for the past 30 years. She has taught Pilates at the EDE Center for Dance, Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center and The Equilibrium Studio.

Ms. Bernstein-Siegel has been a guest lecturer in dance at University of Illinois, Mount Mary College-Milwaukee, Columbia College- Chicago as well as being a former faculty member at Marygrove College. She was a faculty member of ABT-DSI during the summer of 2007. She has choreographed numerous musicals for community theatre groups in the greater Detroit area. She has a particular interest in historical dance and has studied Baroque dance technique for several years.

Ms. Bernstein-Siegel also serves on the boards of Eisenhower Dance Detroit and Michigan Opera Theatre.
