Academic Advising

Academic advising is an ongoing partnership between the student and adviser, empowering students to plan for their academic success. All undergraduate students are assigned an academic adviser to help them Focus and Finish their degree, and who is their go-to person for questions about:

• General Education and degree requirements
• Course registration, including course recommendations
• University policies and procedures
• Accessing student support services, like tutoring and student organizations
• General questions about being a student at OU
