Following the ceremony and moment of silence, SVOU rallied the troops to participate in the second annual Road March to End Hunger, where student veterans walked a mile around campus carrying rucksacks filled with donated canned goods for the Homeless Veterans Association.

With the addition of a full-time Veteran Resource Representative on campus this fall, OU was among an elite few named as a gold-level school on the 2016-17 Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency list of “Veteran-Friendly Schools.”
