AAPI Employee Resource Group

Mission Statement

The AAPI Employee Resource Group is a staff- and faculty-driven collective dedicated to supporting and advocating on behalf of all Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander employees at Oakland University (OU).

AAPI ERG Objectives

  • To disseminate information about Asians and AAPIs and amplify the awareness of Asian and AAPI issues
  • To contribute to the larger diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts at OU through promotion and advocacy of Asian and AAPI faculty and staff
  • To create and maintain an open and inclusive space for the discussion of Asian- and AAPI-related issues at OU
  • To improve the visibility of current reporting procedures and transparent reporting of data and outcomes regarding anti-Asian incidents at OU
