Academic Honors

At the end of each fall, winter and summer semester, undergraduate students who have earned a semester grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher in at least 12 credit hours of alpha graded (A through D) course work and who have received no F grades will be recognized for academic achievement. These credits must be earned within the time constraints of the normal semester.

Students who receive an I (incomplete) and/or P (progress) grade in a semester are not eligible for honors. Students who are ineligible for honors because they receive I (incomplete) and/or P (progress) grades will be retroactively awarded honors if they meet the credit and GPA requirements once their I (incomplete) and/or P (progress) grades have been resolved.

  • Semester Honors - awarded to undergraduates with term GPAs of 3.00 to 3.49.
  • Dean’s List – awarded to undergraduates with term GPAs of 3.50 to 3.89.
  • President’s List – awarded to undergraduates with term GPAs of 3.90 to 4.00.

These honors will be recorded on students’ academic transcripts.

Note: Students who have requested confidentiality of their records are omitted from these public lists.

Congratulations to all for their accomplishments in achieving academic excellence at Oakland University.
