Pre-Health Professional Studies (Concentration)

A Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences degree with a concentration in Pre-Professional Studies combines a broad spectrum of liberal arts, natural sciences, social sciences, and health sciences courses for students who desire a generalized health sciences academic experience.  The pre-health professional concentration combines behavioral health science courses with natural science courses to prepare students for careers in research, non-profit organizations, holistic health, and health or wellness education or for graduate studies in public health, medicine, and other professional programs.

Students who earn a B.S. in Health Sciences with a pre-health professional concentration may work in a variety of settings and may find jobs as laboratory technicians, research assistants, health educators or wellness instructors. Additionally, the pre-health professional concentration area prepares students for a seamless transition into the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program at Wayne State University.
