Pre-medical students can choose a variety of pathways to medical school. Some choose biology or chemistry with a concentration in pre-medical studies, while others choose clinical and diagnostic sciences with a specialization in pre-clinical professions.
The pre-medical concentration and pre-clinical specialization represent the minimum coursework needed for applying to most medical schools and provides the background necessary for taking the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) entrance exam. Students interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree must select a major from those offered by the university.
