Mona Hanna-Attisha, M.D., MPH

Dr. Hanna-Attisha is a pediatrician and public health advocate whose research revealed that children in Flint, Michigan were exposed to harmful levels of lead in their drinking water after government missteps. She now leads a nonprofit organization aimed at mitigating the impact of this crisis. Dr. Mona’s work is chronicled in her book, What the Eyes Don’t See: A Story of Crisis, Resistance, and Hope in an American City, which will be available for sale before and after her talk.
