Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Lake Superior State University in 1993. Also obtained an Associate Degree in Water Quality Management from L.S.S.U. in 1994. Began working as an Environmentalist for Macomb County Health Department in May of 1994. Received a Master of Science in Public Administration from Central Michigan University in January of 2000. Promoted to a Supervisor in Environmental Health Program in 2000. I currently supervise nine Environmentalists, two housing inspectors (contracted by the City of Warren) and two clerical staff. My primary responsibilities include assigning, monitoring and evaluating the work activities of assigned staff on a programmatic basis. The programs I oversee include Food Protection and Public Swimming Pools. My staff also conduct inspections in Day Care facilities upon request from the Family Independence Agency (FIA). I also assist in planning, coordinating and implementing environmental health initiatives, activities, programs and regulatory responsibilities.
