Research Interests:

  • Elucidation of the mechanistic pathways involved in direct interaction of radiation with DNA,
  • Formation of site-specific aminyl radical via dissociative electron attachment to azidotnucleosides and to their derivatives (nucleotides, oligomers etc.) as well as subsequent reactions of these aminyl radicals.
  • Elucidation of mechanisms of radiomodifying actions by minor-groove-ligands, e.g., bis-benzimidazole derivative Hoechst 33258 and its analogs
  • Elucidation of mechanisms of radiomodifying actions by nanoceria.
