HEERF II: Emergency Funding
**All HEERF II funding has been exhausted.**
At Oakland University, we are committed to making sure your journey through college remains accessible and affordable — especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fortunately, the university received funding through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) to provide Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds II (HEERF II) to currently enrolled Winter 2021 students.
We hope these grants will help to alleviate some of the hardships you may be facing.
Eligibility:
- Must be a degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate student
- includes those pursuing a second bachelor’s degree or initial teaching certificate
- Must be enrolled in the Winter 2021 semester in at least 1 credit hour as of February 9, 2021.
- Must have a valid FAFSA on file as of February 2, 2021
- Must have demonstrated need (expected family contribution of $8,000 or less as determined by the FAFSA)
Grant amounts:
- $1,200 for full-time students
- minimum 12 credit hours for undergraduate students
- minimum 8 credit hours for graduate students
- minimum 9 credit hours for OUWB medical students
- $500 for part-time students
Please note these are automatic grants (no application process necessary) and will be distributed in the same manner as financial aid refunds. These grants do not need to be repaid.
