Carrie has worked in higher education for more than 20 years and has worked at Oakland University in financial aid for more than 15 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, her Master’s in College Student Affairs Leadership with a concentration on Higher Education Administration. Dr. Gilchrist is passionate about promoting affordable college access, helping families understand the cost of higher education and how to pay for it, and encouraging students to make wise financial decisions. In her spare time, Carrie enjoys serving on the board of directors for a local charter school and a local non-profit, crafting and home improvement projects, and spending time with friends.
