NEW UNIVERSITY PORTAL
Oakland University is excited to announce that a new version of the Student Portal is now available. As we transition to the new Student Portal, both the old version of MySail and the new Student Portal will be available.
Once you’ve clicked into the new Student Portal portal, you will be on the university portal dashboard. To see your personal dashboard, click on the login screen in the top right corner of your screen. You will need your NetID and password to proceed. If you are a newly admitted student and have not set up your student account (NetID), view the activation directions to get started.
In the new Student Portal, you will see many updated tools and features to streamline your student life planning. From registering for classes, getting financial aid information and accessing your personal information – all of the items available in the old version are available here, with many new features.
Those features include a light and dark view, drag and drop functionality to arrange the information that best fits your needs.
Below are some of the other elevated features to expect on the new version of MySail.
The main menu on the left side of your screen will now display clickable icons to access your items if you have collapsed your display.

Additional changes that will be rolled out will directly affect your user dashboard and how you display your widgets which contain all of your information. Remember, you can drag and drop widgets to streamline your dashboard for your needs.
By clicking into the ellipses on a widget, you will have the option to expand that widget to display as either single, double or even triple the width to help meet your visual preference. Simply click on the square icon to indicate which width you would like to perform the update.

You now have the option of creating folders for your widgets for better organization on your dashboard. When you click into the ellipses of your widget, you will see the option to create a new folder, or add the widget to an already existing folder. Once you have created your folders, you can also drag and drop them to display in an order of your preference.
