University faculty and staff are invited to attend four open fora scheduled in late April and early May to meet and learn more about candidates for Oakland's open Assistant Vice President of Advising position.

Each 60-minute session will begin with the featured candidate speaking for 15 minutes on the prompt: "Provide your vision for an advising structure at OU that mitigates equity gaps and improves retention and degree completion rates with a special emphasis on underrepresented minority and first-generation students." These presentations will be followed by 45-minute question and answer periods that encourage audience participation.

Those wishing to learn more about the position responsibilities and to see the cover letters and CVs of the candidates can do so here.
