Incoming students are routinely asked about their reasons for choosing Oakland University. Among students who responded to an online survey, 71% reported that Oakland University was their first choice college. Nearly 80% indicated that OU’s academic offerings and good reputation were “very important” factors. Affordability and financial aid offered were also among the top reasons.
