According to the 2022 National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), under-represented minority (URM) freshmen at OU sought help from academic advising and learning support services more often than non-URM freshmen. Non-URM students were more likely to get help from friends or other students. First-generation freshmen students sought more help than their counterparts and were more likely to seek help from faculty.

About NSSE

The National Survey of Student Engagement collects information from first-year and senior students about the characteristics and quality of their undergraduate experience. The chart above is from the NSSE's topical module, a sub-set of questions outside of the core survey. More results from NSSE 2022 are available on the OIRA web section.
