Fiscal Year Equated Student (FYES) is a measure used frequently in higher education. In Michigan, FYES is computed based on student credit hour generation. For UG, 1 FYES = 30 credit hours. For Masters, 1 FYES = 24 credit hours. For PhD, 1 FYES = 16 credit hours. For Medical Students, 1 FYES is generated for each student enrolled for a full year.
Annual FYES totals are calculated at the end of each fiscal year. The Fiscal Year for OU starts on July 1 and ends on June 30 of the next year.
