Michigan public high school enrollment declining

Enrollment growing for some racial/ethnic groups despite overall decline in high school students in the Detroit Metro region

Enrollment at Michigan Public high schools has been declining since 2013. Enrollment for 9th, 10th and 11th grade levels has decreased 10% since 2013-2014. High School Enrollment declined 5% in Wayne, 12% in Oakland and 16% in Macomb counties.

In Wayne, Macomb, and Oakland counties, the only racial/ethnic groups that show significant enrollment increases in the last decade are Hispanic/Latino and groups with two or more races.
