It is with deep sadness that I inform you of the death of Mr. Robert Lee Vaughn, who passed away on July 23, 2022. Mr. Vaughn joined the Oakland University community in the department of Campus Cleaning on December 14, 1998. He began his first term as the Oakland University Campus Maintenance & Trades Union President on January 3, 2017 and served in this capacity, as well as the University Housing Custodian, until his passing.
Visitation will take place from 1-7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Cobbs Funeral Home, 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan 48341, (248) 858-2640. A family gathering will begin at noon on Thursday, August 4, and a Celebration of Life will commence at 1 p.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 394 Howland Avenue, Pontiac, Michigan 48341.
