Shawn Levitt – March 13, 2023

Colleagues,

It is with deep sadness that I inform you of the death of Professor Shawn Levitt, who passed away on March 13, 2023.

Professor Levitt joined the Oakland University community on September 2, 2021, as a visiting instructor in the School of Nursing.

Also an OU alumna of the School of Business Executive MBA Program 6 and a former School of Nursing Board member, she worked for 25 years in the local healthcare industry, including her role as Senior Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive for the Detroit Medical Center. Her expertise focused on patient care, clinical operations, project management and performance improvement strategies.
