Howard Splete – School of Education and Human Services

Colleagues,

It is with deep sadness that I inform you of the death of Professor Emeritus Howard Splete, Jr., who passed away on July 4, 2024.

Dr. Splete joined the Oakland University community in the School of Education and Human Services on August 15, 1978, where he served as a professor in the Counseling Department until his retirement on August 14, 1996. Dr. Splete was founder of the Adult Career Counseling Center.
