Flavia-DeVenyDr. Brandy Randall, Dean of Oakland University’s Graduate School and PACE, is pleased to announce that Flavia De Veny has been named the new executive director of Professional and Continuing Education (PACE). A seasoned general management and operations executive, De Veny brings more than 30 years of leadership experience and a strong commitment to workforce development and lifelong learning.

Most recently, De Veny served as president and CEO of Camaco-Amvian, a $500 million global automotive supplier, where she led a successful organizational transformation across nine facilities in six countries. Her career also includes leadership roles with Magna International, Cooper-Standard Automotive and Martinrea International, where she played a pivotal role in business development, strategy and large-scale operations.

In her new role, she will oversee PACE’s portfolio of non-credit certificate programs, professional re-licensure and upskilling and reskilling programs.

“Having received my Master in Engineering from OU, this is an opportunity to give back to my alma mater,” De Veny said. “I’m honored to lead PACE and look forward to creating meaningful opportunities that serve both individuals and organizations in our community.”

“Flavia brings a powerful combination of industry insight, strategic leadership and a genuine passion for helping people grow,” Dean Randall said. “Her vision for PACE aligns perfectly with our mission to expand access to lifelong learning. We’re excited to see the impact she’ll make.”

Outside of work, De Veny enjoys driving — especially her six-speed manual vehicle —gardening and staying active through fitness.
