Oakland University will be closed starting at 5 p.m. on. Wednesday, February 12, and continuing until 5 a.m. on Friday, February 14, due to heavy snow accumulation forecast to accompany an approaching winter storm.

During a university closure, all scheduled classes, regardless of modality, are canceled and all campus activities except essential University operations cease unless otherwise communicated. Essential university personnel will be contacted by their supervisors and told to report. All others should not report.

Kresge Library, Oakland Center and the Recreation Center will close and reopen in conjunction with the university closure and reopening. The OU Women's Basketball game set for 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, will take place as scheduled in the OU Credit Union O'rena.
Normal university operations, including all classes and campus activities, will resume at 5 a.m. on Friday.

Campus community members are advised that decisions regarding various changes in university operations are made independently as conditions warrant. Following a decision to modify university operations, it should not be assumed that any additional decisions to modify operations will be made.

The university appreciates the patience and cooperation of campus community members as efforts are made to balance OU's commitment to delivering quality educational programs with the need to ensure personal safety during severe weather events.
