The Oakland University MI-ACE Women’s Network chapter will launch the second phase of its “Half Day in the Life of Another” job shadowing program on Wednesday, March 16, with a two-day participant matching process.
Designed to build bridges for and among women faculty and staff in both administrative and non-administrative roles, the program also helps alleviate the mystery of what one’s colleagues do at the university. A total of 22 participant pairs completed the first phase of the program. The second phase will welcome up to 25 participant pairs for both in-person and virtual interactions of 3-4 hours each between March 21 and April 8.
Those interested in participating should contact Anita Hicks at [email protected] no later than Wednesday, March 16, and include the following information:
- Name, email address and department;
- The names, email addresses and departments of up to three women colleagues to possibly shadow;
- Desired outcomes or benefits from the program; and
- Whether a supervisor needs to provide support for participating in the program.
