OU Represents at the Michigan Division for Early Childhood Conference

Oakland University was well-represented at the Michigan Division for Early Childhood (DEC) Conference on Friday, April 28. Jessica Korneder and Julie Ricks-Doneen, HDCS, presented their research, A Collaboration in Progress: Different Perspectives on Including Children Receiving ABA in Inclusive Preschool Settings. Also participating in the presentation were Lowry Teacher, Jennifer Harp along with James Blevins and Audrey Wallington, both from the ABA Clinic.

Additionally, Sarah Elriachi and Angel Gehle, graduate students in the ABA program, and Sarah Grix and Stephanie Caughel, graduate students in the Early Education and Intervention Education Specialist program, presented their research posters at the Poster Session during the conference:
  • Sarah Elriachi: Scripts and Scripts Fading on Echolalia
  • Angel Gehle: Modifying a Functional Analysis When Inconclusive Results are Present
  • Sara Grix: General Education Teachers’ Perspectives Regarding Children with Special Needs in their Classrooms
  • Stephanie Caughel: Not Just Academics: Defining Kindergarten Readiness in an Inner-City School
