Nanny and Speech Services Needed
Looking for help with my 5.5 year old son.   4 or 5 days a week and the hours are not solidified yet as things might/will change once child has his IEP, but the hours will range from 630-7am to 3-4pm and I'm a bit flexible with this if needed. I will need help making sure he is up by 7-30am for ABA / school
Getting him changed , dressed , fed breakfast , his lunch packed ( which I will have ready) and then dropped off to ABA which is not even ten minutes from our house.  And possibly helping me with our two small dogs. My son will need to be picked up at 12 noon or 1230 from ABA ( not positive on this time yet) and then dropped off to Beacon Tree Elementary ( five minute drive from the facility) for the last couple of hours.  In between ABA and school I'd like very minor pickup around the house ( I strive to have a clean house so it's typically not dirty or messy) and help with organizing all of educational & play toys/games/activities. If my son isn't attending school after ABA I'd like you to work with him on his speech skills and other skill sets you might possibly have in your toolbox.  And do fun activities with him but afterwards work with him on clean up time please!
Must have a clean driving record and if all things check out I can provide a new vehicle to transport child around so you don't incur additional gas costs or mileage on your personal vehicle.
If you believe you can be of some assistance to my son and his needs please feel free to reach out to me.  We can discuss rates as this is all new to me.  Again, I'm willing to be flexible with hours,  I will have his lunch ready ( most of the time) , I'm willing to provide lunch for you (my fridge is your fridge as long as you provide me with a details of foods you enjoy) and I have a new vehicle , which changes every 6 months( if needed )  to transport my son around in or I will cover your gas/mileage costs. We live at 25 mile road and Romeo Plank crossroads in Macomb.  If interested contact Sal Soave (586) 719-7172

Caregiver/Companion for Young Adult with Autism (Troy, MI)
We’re seeking caring individuals to provide occasional companionship and support for our 21-year-old with autism and other special needs. He is living with a roommate in Troy attending a “college-like” program and working part-time. Initially, we’re looking for people who can occasionally spend time with him on weekends or evenings, offering companionship and gradually stepping into a support role. He enjoys sports, video games, riding elevators, grabbing Starbucks, and crosswalks, so someone who can engage with him in these activities would be a great fit. By June, when his college program ends and his daily structure decreases, we’ll need more regular weekly support. Support tasks may include remotely helping him stay on schedule (e.g., getting up & ready for work, taking medication) via phone calls or FaceTime, assisting with groceries and meal prep, light housekeeping/laundry, and activity/transportation scheduling.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking for flexible, supplemental income in a big brother/big sister type of role. Compensation would be negotiable based on experience and type of care, but we would ensure we would be very competitive.  Even if it’s just for a few hours a month or being available to be on-call occasionally, every bit of support makes a difference.
If you or someone you know might be interested in helping our son as he transitions into more independent living, please contact Heather at 248-310-5046 or email [email protected] for more information and details. (Posted 9/23/24)
