Oakland University and the American Association of University Professors –Oakland University Chapter have announced the ratification of a one-year contract extension to the current Faculty Agreement.
Oakland University and the American Association of University Professors –Oakland University Chapter have announced the ratification of a one-year contract extension to the current Faculty Agreement. The current agreement will now expire at midnight on August 14, 2021. The Letter of Agreement regarding the extension can be found on the AAUP website here and full details of the 2015-2020 contract that has been extended can be found on OU’s website here.
“Our teams worked quickly and collaboratively to ensure important continuity for Oakland University faculty and students in such difficult and uncertain times,” according to a joint statement issued by Joi Cunningham, OU’s assistant vice president for Academic Human Resources, and Amy Pollard, Ph.D., OU-AAUP executive director.
Michelle Piskulich, Ph.D., interim executive vice president for Academic Affairs and provost for Oakland University added, “We are very thankful to the AAUP for their partnership, understanding and cooperation to extend the current agreement by a year so that we can focus our collective energy on serving our students and working together to get through this pandemic.”
