As move-in continues this weekend, Oakland University’s Office of Student Financial Services will be available each day to answer questions and provide information about payment plans, grants, scholarships, loans, work-study opportunities and more.
Specifically, SFS staff members Greg Ashe and Carrie Gilchrist will be available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31 in Oak View Hall and Hillcrest Hall; and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1 in Hillcrest Hall.
“They are anxious to help students and families with all their financial questions,” said Cindy Hermsen, director of financial aid at OU. “They want to help students and families with all their options to cover the cost of their tuition and housing bills.”
Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 3, the SFS office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours until 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 4, 5, 9 and 10.
“It’s an exciting time of year,” Hermsen said.
