Meadow Brook Hall to host a series of fantastic fall events
Art, music and even murder will transform Meadow Brook Hall this fall, with a series of colorful fall events.

Art, music and even murder will transform Meadow Brook Hall this fall, with a series of colorful fall events. Visitors will be enchanted with the colorful event lineup, from a gorgeous outdoor floral art exhibit to thrilling film screenings of classic films, Flashlight Tours, Mystery Dinners and so much more! All events take place at Meadow Brook Hall, the National Historic Landmark located on the campus of Oakland University.

Art in the Elements invites guests to stroll the woodland paths of The Great Estate for an art and artist themed floral exhibition. The tour features 20 large-scale outdoor floral displays and several interior displays inspired by the Hall’s decorative arts, created by renowned floral artists from around the country. The preview evening on Sept. 8 features a cash bar and chance to meet the artists. The tour is open Sept. 9-11. Tickets are $25 each.

Meadow Brook’s annual Wild Game Dinner & Auction is more than a unique night out—it’s an evening with an impact. The biggest fundraiser of the year takes place at 6 p.m. on  Thursday Sept. 15 and features cocktails, “wild” cuisine, live music by Athens Creek and silent and live auctions all set against the most beautiful backdrop—Meadow Brook at sunset! Tickets are $125 each.

See Meadow Brook Hall in a new light as its hidden details and exquisite craftsmanship are illuminated as never before with our exciting Flashlight Tours. Your docent will show you behind ropes, under tables and inside cabinets to highlight the secret spaces you probably missed in the daylight. This is a unique and intimate experience, with only ten guests per tour. Tickets are $30 each and are available on select Mondays this fall.

Film buffs are invited to a thrilling night out to watch a classic movie in Meadow Brook Hall’s historic Gothic-inspired Ballroom, while enjoying a casual three-course dinner and cash bar for Dinner and a Movie. “Hocus Pocus” will be shown on Thursday Oct. 6, “Psycho” is the feature for Wednesday October 12, and “Arsenic and Old Lace” will be screened on Friday November 4. The movies will run from 7-9:30 p.m. and tickets are $50 each.

The mysterious Meadow Brook comes alive for two evenings of magic and murder! Sleuths are invited to doll themselves up for an exclusive evening that includes a three-course meal, cocktails and a chance to solve a murder at a magic show. Featuring a team of players from The Murder Mystery Company, Meadow Brook’s Mystery Dinners will take place from 7-10 p.m. on Thursday Oct. 20 and 27. Tickets are $125 per person.

We’ll cast a spell of fun with an all-new family event – the History of Halloween! Children can explore the Great Estate in their Halloween costumes for Trick or Treating, beautiful fall scenery and even pumpkin painting in the Garden Tent. Cider and donuts will be provided. Hear stories of Halloween traditions past, see some of the costumes worn by the Dodge and Wilson family and learn local Halloween history! There will be two sessions of the History of Halloween, from 11-1 p.m. and from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23. Tickets are $20 for children age 2+ (to receive a pumpkin) and $10 for adults.
