Wild Game Dinner & auction brings energy, support to MBH

Take a walk on the culinary wild side at Meadow Brook Hall’s biggest annual fundraising experience, the Wild Game Dinner & Auction. The event on Thursday, Sept. 15, features a strolling dinner, unique auction items and live music all set against the iconic backdrop of the National Historic Landmark, located in Rochester on the campus of Oakland University.

“The Wild Game Dinner & Auction is one of the most fun ways to support Meadow Brook,” said Shannon O’Berski, external relations director at Meadow Brook Hall. “With live music, sunset views and a truly eclectic array of auction items, the evening has an energy all its own. Not only is the experience itself a unique night out, but every ticket has a big impact on Meadow Brook itself.”

Meadow Brook’s in-house chef has curated a strolling dinner menu featuring inventive takes on wild game-inspired cuisine, such as farm-raised venison chili and pheasant empanadas with avocado crema. It features vegetarian options as well, such as ricotta ravioli with butternut squash cream, roasted Brussel sprouts, toasted pecans and dried cherries. The full menu is available here.

The event will feature a live performance from the local Americana band Athens Creek. The evening will feature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a unique selection of silent auction items along the loggia terrace as the sun sets over the Great Estate. Choose from jewelry, travel experiences, exclusive packages, outdoor gear, hunting rifles and much more. The live auction to follow will feature exciting items from exclusive experiences at Meadow Brook Hall to an in-home private chef, and so much more.

Guests can try their luck in the Wild Raffle to win an exciting trip for two—the winner will choose from the following trips: Alaska Frontier Adventure, Tee off in Monterey, Napa Valley Rail and Sky or Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Tickets are $100 each and only 100 tickets will be sold. Guests do not need to be present to win.

The 2022 presenting sponsor is Northern Trust. The organizing committee members include Patrick Brown, Gasper Buffa, Frank Cassise, Anthony Costanzo, Ashley Dewling, Anna Drumm, Millie Gervais, Scott Kunselman, Connor Newton, Michelle Peyerk, Gina Randall, Randy Walker and Mike Westfall.

Advance tickets are required. Wild Game Dinner & Auction tickets are $150 per person. Visit meadowbrookhall.org/wildgamedinner for more information or to book your tickets.
