‘Greatness is in the forecast’ for OU’s first-ever Day of Giving
Grizz

February 2 is Groundhog Day. But this year, it’s also the day of Oakland University’s first-ever Day of Giving – and greatness is in the forecast. The 24-hour event starts at midnight and invites OU faculty, staff and supporters to contribute to their favorite OU gift funds, which include scholarships, departments, programs, and more.

The Oakland University Credit Union has generously provided $50,000 in matching funds, which will be used to match gifts dollar-for-dollar up to $1,000. Additional matches will be available from specific OU schools and departments, as well as through special challenges held from morning until evening. At noon, be sure to tune into an OU Facebook video to find out if OU mascot Grizz sees his shadow.

Participants are also invited to serve as ambassadors for the OU Day of Giving by sharing on social media and encouraging friends, family and colleagues to give. Find out how to become an ambassador here.

To learn more about OU’s Day of Giving, or to make a gift on February 2, visit the Day of Giving web page or email [email protected]. Sign up here to receive a donation reminder text message on the morning of February 2.
