For the seventh straight year, Oakland University’s Honors College has a record number of freshmen joining its ranks. 

This year’s class of 663 freshmen tops last year’s record by more than 40 students. More than two-thirds of the class has a grade point average above 3.9.

They are academically diverse, selecting majors and concentrations throughout the university. 

  • College of Arts and Sciences: 29 percent
  • School of Engineering and Computer Science: 17 percent
  • Pre-med: 12 percent
  • Undecided: 11 percent
  • School of Business Administration: 9 percent
  • School of Nursing: 9 percent
  • School of Health Sciences: 8 percent
  • School of Music Theatre and Dance: 3 percent
  • School of Education and Human Services: 2 percent
