Celebrating Excellence, Celebrating Success: the OSI awards
Alternative Spring Break trip to Puerto Rico. The Alternative Spring Break program was awarded OSI's Best Community Service Program award this year.

The Oakland University Office for Student Involvement (OSI) recognizes student leaders, service projects, scholarship and other programming that stands out above the crowd each year.

“The student activities and leadership awards are OSI’s annual opportunity to celebrate our students and their successes,” said Jean Ann Miller, senior director of Oakland University’s OSI. “This year, without face-to-face celebrating, we are encouraging our students to celebrate each other’s accomplishments through messages of support for one another. I am happy for and proud of those selected and those who were nominated. I also wish to recognize everyone who chose to get involved this academic year and make OU such a remarkable place to learn and lead.”

Miller added that it is these students’ attitude and gratitude, energy and enthusiasm, collaboration and compassion that is so appreciated. Participation like this year’s OSI award winners demonstrates why we have a fulfilling and fun campus life.
