COVID-19 Update - Message to Campus
March 23, 2020
To Oakland University community,
To protect the health and safety of our community and in response to an executive order issued today by Governor Gretchen Whitmer for residents to “stay home, stay safe” to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the University will limit access to campus facilities to essential personnel effective at 9 p.m. today, Monday, March 23.
In keeping with our deep commitment to support students and their academic success, Oakland University remains open to deliver services on a remote basis. Our dedicated faculty will continue to provide instruction for winter 2020 courses through remote delivery formats.
In addition, academic support services, including online registration for summer and fall 2020, and winter 2021 courses are available. Students can learn more on the Student Services web section: https://www.oakland.edu/students/
University employees with questions regarding essential personnel status should talk with their supervisors.
I am so proud of our dedicated and remarkable students, faculty and staff who continue to work creatively and collaboratively to help ensure that the University continues to fulfill its valued role in the community.
