Ad Astra Resources

Ad Astra Login

The login link for Ad Astra is here.  Your role will determine which functions you can access.  If you have not requested a role, please see below.  Your username is your NetID and NetID password.

How to request a user account?

How to view the scheduling calendar, scheduling grid or available rooms by time?

If you have the GENP Reports user role, you can view what sections or events are scheduled in general purpose classrooms.  This will also allow you to see open times for your planning purposes.

Please note: While a classroom may be available when you view the scheduling calendar or grid, the request of a GENP classroom still needs to be requested and approved for official assignment.  Visit the classroom request page for more information how to request a GENP classroom.

How to create a customer or customer contact?

The Office of the Registrar manages these items.  Please submit this form.

How to manage my non-general purpose (non-GENP) classrooms?

  • Class Assignments
Ad Astra has assumed all classroom scheduling.  Non-GENP classroom scheduling instructions.
  • Events
Ad Astra has assumed all classroom scheduling.  Banner will no longer use UC 290.  Follow the instructions to create an event, or setup one-on-one training by emailing cagoeth@oakland.edu.  If you do not have access to the appropriate Ad Astra role or you have questions about the rooms assigned to your area, please email regscheduling@oakland.edu.

Other Functions

Additional functions are available for academic areas that would benefit from them, such as having a college/school or department specific scheduling grid and/or calendar.  Please feel free to contact Chris Goeth to discuss further at cagoeth@oakland.edu
