The Cayuse modules we currently have active are as follows:

  • Sponsored Projects (SP). This is the module for starting a new project or proposal and having it routed for approval by department chairs, unit directors, deans, and the Research Office before the proposal is submitted to an external sponsor.
  • Proposals (424). This module allows for direct submission of proposals (when the sponsor has made it available) to federal agencies like the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Department of Defense, etc.
  • Animal Oversight. This module is for submission of protocols to the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) for projects involving research with animal subjects.
  • Hazard Safety. This module is for submission of protocols to the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) for projects involving hazardous materials and/or biohazards.
  • Human Ethics. This module is for submission of protocols to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for projects involving research with human subjects. All applications for human subjects research must be submitted to the IRB through this module.
  • Fund Manager. This module integrates with Banner and tracks past, present, and future spend of sponsored awards.
