Helpful Tips

If you're planning on participating in the Deans Choice Grant Instagram Contest, see below for a few tips on creating an awesome post.

  • Photo/video quality is important. If you dont have a phone with a good camera, use an actual camera for better quality. After your photo or video is taken, simply email it to yourself, download it onto your phone and post away!

  • Depending on your content, try to capture your photo or video in a well lit area when possible.
    • If youre outside, find a nice shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight.
    • If youre inside, shoot near a window for natural lighting.

  • Think outside the box and dig deep!
    • Tell us what truly powers your passion for your chosen career/educational path.
    • Set yourself apart — if youre going to be a teacher, dont say its because you love children. Weve heard it before!
