Paul Chittick, M.D., is the Michael E. Maddens, M.D. Distinguished Interim Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine and associate professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.
He most recently served as the section head of Infectious Diseases at Corewell Health's Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak and as the associate medical director for medical subspecialties for Corewell Health Medical Group East.
Dr. Chittick received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed a residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at William Beaumont Hospital, and completed a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Wake Forest University. He returned to Beaumont in 2010 and has worked in a variety of roles, including as the hospital epidemiologist, the director of the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program, and as the physician leader for the antimicrobial stewardship program.
Dr. Chittick has received multiple awards for his clinical work and has special expertise in the field of transplant infectious diseases.
