AP Assembly

Letter from the President

Greetings fellow APs and Oakland University community members,

Welcome to AP Assembly! A professional organization of all Administrative Professionals on campus, the AP Assembly serves in an advising capacity to the University President and has representation on the University Senate, as well as various senate committees. We provide opportunities for connection with our various committees (Recognition; Community Engagement; Nominations and Elections; and Professional Development), and strive to develop community and support across campus through the work of the volunteer executive board members and committee members.

I am beyond honored to be your President for the 2024/2025 academic year. During my presidency, it is my goal to bring the AP Community together. I will work with our Community Engagement and Professional Development committees to host many events at varying times so that everyone will be able to participate. I aim to incorporate more technology so that people can benefit from the event even if they could not attend live.

This year, along with the AP Association, we are going to examine both of our roles. We will be looking at what each of our organizations does and what we can improve upon. We will be seeking input from all the members to make sure that everyone is heard and we all have a shared ownership in what this looks like going forward.

The 2024/2025 executive board looks forward to serving you while we strive to meet the needs of all APs. Be on the lookout for our monthly AP Assembly Newsletter for updates and information regarding upcoming events and activities to get involved in.

I look forward to your participation with the AP Assembly as we continue to have lasting and positive impacts on all APs.

Be well,

Matthew Holtz
President, AP Assembly
