Oakland University is declaring a snow emergency effective at 10 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, and continuing through 6 a.m. on Sunday, February 16, due to forecasts for significant snow accumulation on campus.

During a snow emergency, all vehicles in campus parking lots must remain in or be moved to designated lots, which include the covered levels of the P-29 and P-32 parking structures, the P-35 lot and the Ann V. Nicholson and Matthews Court student apartment parking lots.

At the time a snow emergency becomes effective, vehicles left in campus lots other than designated lots may be towed at the owners' expense.

Decisions regarding various changes in university operations due to severe weather are made independently as conditions warrant. During any change in operations, it should not be assumed that additional changes will be made in conjunction with any other.

The university appreciates the patience and cooperation of campus community members as efforts are made to balance OU's commitment to delivering quality educational programs with the need to ensure personl safety during severe weather events.
