Post-Master's Certificate in Reading, Language Arts and Literature

Students completing the Post-Master’s Certificate program are classroom teachers whose daily work requires them to deal with the literacy needs of young children, adolescents or adults. The 16-, 28- or 32- credit certificate programs are for three different groups of students: 

  1. Those who have a master’s degree in an education field and wish to earn the Reading Specialist endorsement.
  2. Students with little background in reading, who have a master’s degree in education-related fields
  3. Students who have completed the Master of Arts in reading and language arts.

Credit required/Time to completion: 16, 28 or 32 credits, based on program requirements
