We sat down with Annie Meinberg, SEHS ‘16, and talked about her time on campus and what she’s done post graduation.

MAJOR: Elementary Education

GRADUATION YEAR: 2016

FAVORITE STUDY SPOT: Hammocks by Bear Lake

FAVORITE CAMPUS EVENT: Camping out for tickets to student trips like Chicago and New York City

BEST MOMENT ON CAMPUS: Climbing to the very top of the Elliott Tower and seeing the Detroit skyline.

FAVORITE CLASS: Student teaching was the best part of my academic program.

BEST FRIEND ON CAMPUS: Liz Iwanski. We met as Orientation Group Leaders after our freshmen year. She was Student Body Vice President and the smartest, kindest, best friend on campus.

SOMETHING UNIQUE ABOUT YOURSELF: After teaching for a couple years, I used my experiences in elementary education to open up a kids’ birthday party business: Dream Scene Parties. Then when COVID-19 hit, I used my degree again to open up a homeschool program with other certified teachers.
