CLINICAL NURSE LEADER

Kyra is a graduate of the School of Nursing’s Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) program and uses her skills every day as a practicing nurse leader.  Kyra’s mission is to inspire others through innovative collaboration and transformational leadership.  She envisions herself as being an effective change agent to develop the skills and confidence of her employees, aligning her organization’s goals for safe patient care.

The Clinical Nurse Leader is a master’s educated nurse, prepared for practice across the continuum of care within any healthcare setting. The CNL addresses the critical need to improve the quality of patient care outcomes such as care coordination, transitions of care, interprofessional communication and teamwork for patients, families, health care staff and communities.
