Community Engagement

Oakland University has worked with its surrounding communities in a variety of ways since its inception in 1957.

We are expanding our role in the surrounding communities by engaging in mutually beneficial relationships that engage our students and our faculty in the community and drive community change. We strive to become a leader in serving the needs and aspirations of our communities and region through expanded community relationships, institutional reputation and visibility and engagement.
