Our Intensive English Language program offers engaging courses in reading, writing, listening and speaking, taught by TESOL certified instructors. Find out more about our ESL courses here.

Our 7-week classes take place 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. 3 days a week, can vary by term. Log into MySAIL to register or find your class schedule on our Important Dates and Deadlines page. 

You will find the academic calendar here by looking for session one and session two start and end dates and add/drop course dates. You can also go to Important Dates and Deadlines.

Find exciting campus-wide events on the OU events calendar and make new friends or try a new skill. It's a great way to practice your English language skills!

Our F-1 visa holders, you must follow the steps below to transfer to another school or end your program with us. Thank you. 

• Make sure that your eBill is paid in full. Contact LaTasha Curry in Student Business Services at curry@oakland.edu for any questions.
• Notify Housing that you are transferring out at housing@oakland.edu. You will receive any applicable refund on your eBill once you have completed the steps listed above.
• Complete the F-1 Notice of Departure/Transfer Out form. Your departure date should be any date after the last day of class. Please refer to the academic calendar for session 1 or session 2 end dates.
• Send your admit letter to esl@oakland.edu once you have completed the form. You will also receive an email from issoforms@oakland.edu asking for your admit letter.

You can easily obtain an unofficial or official copy of your transcript after the semester has ended and grades have rolled.

To obtain your transcript:

• Go to mysail.oakland.edu and login with your OU email
• Check the Tools section on the LEFT
• Select Student Resources
• Select Show More
• Choose either View Transcripts to view and print your unofficial transcript
• Choose Request Official Mailed Transcript for an official copy
