Leadership matters and, as a result, is a topic of interest for any organization. In school districts, the focus is leading learning that matters as well as how school systems can support powerful teaching and learning. Research in the field provides guidance on strategies to increase student learning and engagement as well as how to increase professional expertise in cultivating a shared understanding of engagement practices, instructional practices and system practices that lead to deeper learning.
