University Advancement
In 1957, one transformational act of philanthropy created what is now Oakland University when Alfred and Matilda Dodge Wilson donated their expansive Meadow Brook Estate, its buildings and $2 million to establish the university.
The Wilson legacy can be see throughout our beautiful campus and is at the heart of who we are. It is this spirit that drives our University Advancement team as we seek support for the Oakland University mission to cultivate the full potential of a diverse and inclusive community, impacting Michigan and the world through education, research, scholarship and creative activity.
Through philanthropic support, volunteerism and event participation, you become part of Alfred and Matilda Dodge Wilson's legacy at Oakland University.
- You enable faculty to provide a transformative educational experience.
- You encourage the pursuit of life-changing research.
- You create opportunities for students to succeed.
- You champion creative thinking and the cultivation of big ideas.
THANK YOU for joining us as we continue to unlock the potential of individuals and leave a lasting impact on the world through the transformative power of education and research.
