Our Virtual Open House offers a mix of live presentations and interactive Q&A sessions with:

Attend OU’s Virtual Graduate Open House (VGOH) for an opportunity to compete for a $3,000 scholarship during the event—an added boost as you begin your graduate journey.

Those who register for one of the scholarship competition events and attend the virtual trivia challenge can compete for one of six $3,000 scholarships. The trivia challenge will test your knowledge in one of the six academic fields below. Scholarships must be used for the Winter 2027, Summer 2027 or Fall 2027 Semesters. You may only participate in one competition or you will be disqualified.

A session to compete for a scholarship will be held at the end of each day’s career cluster. Participants will complete a 16‑question multiple‑choice quiz specific to their academic program area. Five questions cover OU general knowledge, ten relate to the program area, and one collects the participant’s email address for matching purposes. The scholarship will be awarded to the participant with the most correct answers in the shortest time.

Application Information Session

Join us for a step-by-step overview of the graduate application process. We’ll guide you through how to complete the online application, submit required documents, and navigate the application portal to view your checklist and track the status of your application. This session is a great opportunity to get your questions answered and feel confident as you begin your graduate journey.

Combined Bachelor’s/Master’s Programs

Learn how you can save time and money by earning both your bachelor’s and master’s degrees through Oakland University’s combined programs. This session will cover eligibility, the application process, timeline, and how credits can count toward both degrees. You'll also hear about the benefits of early admission to graduate school and tips for planning your academic path.

Learn about the financial resources available to you as an Oakland University graduate student, including scholarships, assistantships, and federal financial aid. This session will walk you through the process of applying for aid and highlight additional funding opportunities to help support your graduate education.
